Today I talk about 4 pieces of legislation called up last week to protect and enhance absentee voting, expand Early Voting, and mandate online portal and tracking systems for absentees. I also address the maps being considered in the Onondaga County redistricting process.

Today I outline what the BOE will be doing over the next few weeks to get ready for March Village elections, redistricting, and the June 2022 primaries. I also outline my plan as I start up my Wonky Wednesday and Zoom with Czarnys next week as the Election Hiatus is over and its onto 2022!

As we start day 1 of the Absentee counts I give an update on where some of the close races stand. I also address some races that will likely go to hand recounts on Monday.

Today I talk about the many steps in the post election process, from canvassing emergency unscanned ballots, to absentee prep, and ruling on affidavits all leading up to Tuesday’s absentee ballot count.
