“All of our poll pads are on their own their own individual cellular-connected networks, so we can keep anyone from hacking them,” said Czarny. “They are all encrypted communications through Verizon. We could, if we need to, deploy mobile hotspots and get on the wifi of the polling places themselves in an emergency.”

“I released the data on request from Syracuse.com because I believe in transparency and it is what Mr. Beadnell should have done at the outset of this matter. It is disturbing that Mr. Beadnell has confirmed he made false assumptions to inflate my time and still has not done even the most basic research into the law and nature of ridesharing. These assumptions led to logically flawed data and a failure of basic math. He should have done this research months ago before falsely accusing me of a crime. “It is the first year and this is one of our lowest turnout years in our cycle. But what we have seen in other states is that over time, early voting increases its usage tremendously. Wherever they start off at, every year it grows in popularity, so we’re hoping that it’ll do that [here].”

In a statement, Czarny said Beadnell grossly exaggerated the hours Czarny spent ridesharing, and a simple interview would have cleared it up.

Czarny today accused Beadnell of grossly exaggerating the time he spent driving for Uber and Lyft.
